We also work with decorators, model home builders, building facility managers, and art galleries that have found it more cost-effective for
us to do their framing.

Where It All Started
In 1990 Art Boom Limited Editions, a fine art publishing company, was founded in southern California. By 1995 over 2,500 galleries in the U.S. had purchased its posters or limited editions. In 1997 Art Boom began supplying large national retail stores with framed art. This activity has continued up to the present and our high volume allows us to offer retail and commercial customers lower prices than other framers.

The Establishment of BayFrames
In late 1999 Bay Frames was established by the Art Boom owners in Newark, Ca (between Oakland and San Jose) to provide a high volume, high quality frame shop for better servicing our accounts.Our production facility frames up to 100 pictures daily, and boxes and ships to accounts throughout the U.S. In 2003 we added a retail gallery into our operation, which provides a service area for residential and commercial framing.

Retail buyers
Our prices are far, far lower than any of the chain stores or local framing shops. We price based on our costs vs. an industry standard framing pricing chart. We have found in most cases that we are about 40-50% less than any other quotes our customers have shared with us. We have an outstanding frame and print selection in the gallery, from most of the major manufacturers and publishers.

Volume commerical buyers
We know how to sharpen our pencil for the volume contract jobs. We get the maximum discounts from our moulding, mat, glass and hardware suppliers, as well as the premium U.S. poster publishers. We’ll give you a quote that will be very competitive, whether 10 or 1,000 pictures.

Our gallery was built with you in mind: Hundreds of frame corner and matting samples; 3 large design tables; our knowledgeable and attentive staff will make your job much easier.
